Most everything I enjoyed about the first game is gone.  I loved looking for all the gold in open environments and great humor in the first game.  This game is to alike Modern Warfare.  For Bad Company 3 go back to what made the first game great, and keep the open world format.  Yes this game is good/ok.  But I can't stand the single path play.  I want to find my own way around.  Also I find the map hard to read (on a 50" inch TV), and I feel like I'm in a rocking boat the whole game, almost makes you sick feeling.  I thought the destructive environments in the first game along with the sound were much better.  But go back to the original, we don't need another modern warfare.  I don't want to keep blasting people 24/7. It's a good game no doubt, but the bar was set extremely high and it came in short for me.

One last thing, off topic I was stunned at the end of the first Bad Company Haggard didn't hook up with the hot sounding lady given recon.  Decent game but not near the first 8 of 10.

I could not agree more with what you are saying!  BFBC II is definetly a beautiful game as far as the graphics go; however it has left me with a empty feeling both in single player and multiplayer game modes.  I too have a large HDTV (47") and find the maps especially jungle terrain maps to be too much, almost like it's just too much to look at.  Again as you said the singlepath gameplay is horrible; you either sit back and snipe or forced to go head on into the mix getting killed over and over again.  I too agree half the fun on the first game was setting up "your own" battle plan with or without friends and attacking from many different angles.  I am an avid Modern Warfare player and as you said they attempted to make this too much alike.  I loved and appreciated the difference in game play of the first games now it feels like I quit one and start it up all over again.  Where is the fun in that?  Hopefully in future map packs they take these things into consideration, I can't see playing and putting time into achievments for two of the same games...  Ra E5 USMC <- Live Tag

Ok so I sat for a moment feeling good that there are other people out there with similiar issues as I have and thought that I would add a couple more bitches about the game at the same time....

1) Mortar strikes....WTF?? all the way across the map?  At least on the first one you had to be in close visual range!

2) Weapon damage... unless you play hardcore (which I do) it is rediculous!! Why should I have to shoot someone 3 times with a rifle before they die!!  Wow...

3) No Prone position.... enough said, however not the end of the world as the first game did not have it.

4) Why did they have to F!@#$ with the damn player controls?  At least they left it open for you to change it back...

5) I almost feel like getting the first one out and playing that instead.
