Well I mean who doesn't like riddles? First of we're not talking about riddles that are jokes, this thread is for brain teaser and thinking problem type riddles. They may have a humorous solution but they are supposed to be difficult and make you think. Here's how this works: - Please post riddles in quotes it makes then easier to read
- No new riddles until the current riddle is answered correctly and the answer is *confirmed* by the poster of the riddle.
- Only the person who posted the correct answer to the previous riddle may post a new riddle.
- Anyone is free to post a guess - just remember to keep your post on topic.
- You may ask others for help and discuss it with them
- Absolutely *no* giving away of hints - even if you are the poster of the current riddle.
- Absolutely *no* googling, yahooing, MSNing, or any other kind of reference looking up for the riddle answer. If you're caught somehow, you'll never be allowed to post in this thread again. Sorry that's just the way it works.
- Off-topic posts, posts out of order (someone posting a riddle before the current riddle is solved or confirmed, or someone posting a riddle when they weren't who answered the last one), etc will be deleted.
So to summarize only three types of posts are allowed here: - Guesses and discussion about the current riddle, or questions if the riddle is a bit ambigious - it is entirely up to the riddle poster if he wants to answer them or not.
- Confirmation by the riddle-poster of a correct guess, and following that,
- A new riddle posted by whoever got the correct answer above.

sorry this took so long, but this is a good one.
During a high-stakes bridge tournament preceded by a sit down dinner, Jay, Jennifer, Jeff, and John played together. At the end of the night, all four had more cash than when they had arrived. In other words, none of them lost, although they were playing for money. How could this be?
