Dr. Pepper may be ruining BBC2 game

May 2, 2010 · Filed Under battlefield bad company 2 · Comment

We all know, at least most of us, that Dr. Pepper has given us the new ‘DLC’ for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with the help of a promotion. If you are purchasing the products of Dr. Pepper, then you are able to redeem it for the final weapon of any class such as the M16, the UMP45, MG 3 or M95. Apart from this, one also gets the new camo for the weapon as well as for the character. All sounds good. Isn’t it? But as a whole it ruins the dynamic of the game and especially for the Snipers.

At the time when the BBC2 was released, it was really rare to see someone with a M95. It was even rare before the Dr. Pepper promotion. One will see tons of players with the M95 SA with the addition of Dr. Pepper promotion.

Here is what the point of playing each class. You had to play until you are able to unlock the final weapon. For Sniper the final weapon is M95 and it is, believe me, incredibly powerful.

Recentluy Electronic Arts said that BBC2 sold 2.3 million units.

Sebastian added further, “Based primarily on continuing strength in sell-through of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, we are raising our 1Q revenue and [earnings per share] estimates for EA to $850 million and 5 cents, up from $830 million and 4 cents, respectively.”

He also mentioned that the upcoming sports games of EA will be proving the company’s next product catalysts. In April the company is launching World Cup. After that it will also launch Tiger Woods, NCAA Football, FIFA and Madden NFL.

The name ‘Battlefield’ itself has strength in BBC2 says PC version producer

March 1, 2010 · Filed Under battlefield bad company 2 · 1 Comment

The PC beta version of Bad Company 2 for shooter fans has been one of the larger time sinks in recent years. The code of it is slightly rough in it and the games and mechanics are polished. If played with a good group of players then it is tight. In the game if one hides inside a building, the mortar rounds can take it down. In the game if you are able see enemy creeping towards any objective then call him out to the team mates of yours and let your friends hunt him down.

One question hunts to every PC gamers. It is that will this game be better than Modern Warfare 2, which was a blockbuster released on November 4 last year.

According to Anders Gyllenberg, producer of BBC2 PC version, this game can be defined by its differences from MW2. Gyllenberg was confident of the strength the name itself, Battlefield. He said, “For us it wasn’t any discussions regarding if one studio does this then we have to do that. What we offer with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the same base experience as we have offered all the way back since Battlefield 1942,.

Gyllenberg sees the sandbox mix design and also land, sea and air vehicles as the key to the franchise.

He added, “Combined with the focus on squad play, we believe we have our recipe for our own success. The server structure, which I assume you are thinking of, is only one of the components in what we feel is needed to offer a good PC experience.”

Overall impact of Battlefield: Bad Company is great

February 12, 2010 · Filed Under battlefield bad company · Comment

A field of battle where there is no room for heroism or patriotism, but where only the strongest does not pull the bucket, where only those who have replaced God with trivial material land is respected.

Here are the premises of Battlefield: Bad Company, sequel to a saga that, in its small, has made the history of first-person shooter.

The plot itself does not offer some kind of innovation, although right from the opening bars, Bad Company decides to “disconnect” from their duty and follow a path that will lead them to battle against friends and foes.

On the technical side, we are facing what is perhaps one of the greatest bulwarks of next-generation. Maybe some textures can be a bit flat, but it flies over easily when we have before us a field so vast and so realistic physics.

The overall impact is great, the models of realistic characters and the feeling of being in a world alive and pulsating high. The overall impact is great, the models of realistic characters and the feeling of being in a world alive and pulsating high and even the shadow of aliasing, as annoying drop the frame-rate.
