Electroic Arts may also launch in near future a second free-to-play game and it will be based on Battlefield. It is titled Battlefield Play4Free and will be containing the Battlefield 2 most popular maps and also powerful weapons of the game.
Battlefield Play4Free will have vehicular combat and at a certain time 32 people can play online. Gamers will earn game currency after gaining experience to purchase weapons and other equipment.
Electronic Arts launched, last year, Battlefield Heroes. Presently, it has about six million registered players. In the free-to-play model, the publisher allows gamers to take part in the matches for free and it also offers the players the option of making small purchases like outfits or bonus experience.
The publisher says that Battlefield Play4Free is for serious shooter fans who seeks for a premium, but without any charges. Gamers will experience in it the rivals top console titles.
On November 30, EA will start the beta version of Battlefield Play4Free. The game will be launched next spring.
Electronic Arts Mobile announced of bringing the Battlefield Bad Company 2 to iPhones by November. The developer will be offering fourteen single-player missions in five battle zones like the judges, the desert and snow. There may also be lot of First-Person shooting in it, as it is expected.

BBC2 will also be bringing one of the highlights of its franchise on any platform that the gamers want to play. It will be featuring complete online multiplayer mode.
Other updates were not given in the announcement, but gamers expect it to be really exciting. The price was also not disclosed.
So, get ready for it next month.
We all know, at least most of us, that Dr. Pepper has given us the new ‘DLC’ for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with the help of a promotion. If you are purchasing the products of Dr. Pepper, then you are able to redeem it for the final weapon of any class such as the M16, the UMP45, MG 3 or M95. Apart from this, one also gets the new camo for the weapon as well as for the character. All sounds good. Isn’t it? But as a whole it ruins the dynamic of the game and especially for the Snipers.
At the time when the BBC2 was released, it was really rare to see someone with a M95. It was even rare before the Dr. Pepper promotion. One will see tons of players with the M95 SA with the addition of Dr. Pepper promotion.
Here is what the point of playing each class. You had to play until you are able to unlock the final weapon. For Sniper the final weapon is M95 and it is, believe me, incredibly powerful.
Colin Sebastian, the analyst of Lazard Capital Markets, raised sales and profits estimates on Thursday for publisher Electronic Arts. This is because of the stronger than expected sales of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Colin Sebastian said, “We now expect EA to ship 3 million-plus units of Battlefield [Bad Company 2] for the quarter [ending March 31], ahead of our original 2.5 million unit estimate.”
Sebastian also noted that BBC2 reached 230,000 peak concurrent users for online multiplayer, “which bodes well for overall franchise strength and the potential for follow-on sales.”
Recentluy Electronic Arts said that BBC2 sold 2.3 million units.
Sebastian added further, “Based primarily on continuing strength in sell-through of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, we are raising our 1Q revenue and [earnings per share] estimates for EA to $850 million and 5 cents, up from $830 million and 4 cents, respectively.”
He also mentioned that the upcoming sports games of EA will be proving the company’s next product catalysts. In April the company is launching World Cup. After that it will also launch Tiger Woods, NCAA Football, FIFA and Madden NFL.
Are you all enjoying the multiplayer mode of Battlefield: Bad Company 2? Will you all still be enjoying it in the same way if suddenly the stats that you have accrued disappears and also the weapons and ranks?
This may be happening to wide swaths of players very recently. There has been flood of complaints even on the forums of Electronic Arts’ official Bad Company 2.
EA has posted a small message on their Twitter account for Bad Company 2 that they are aware of this issue and they are investigating on the matter to rectify it as soon as possible. However, EA did not mention anything about the stats that has been erased.
Well, how much of it is actually related for the players it is hard to say. Let us wait and seen how soon EA overcomes this issue.
The PC beta version of Bad Company 2 for shooter fans has been one of the larger time sinks in recent years. The code of it is slightly rough in it and the games and mechanics are polished. If played with a good group of players then it is tight. In the game if one hides inside a building, the mortar rounds can take it down. In the game if you are able see enemy creeping towards any objective then call him out to the team mates of yours and let your friends hunt him down.
One question hunts to every PC gamers. It is that will this game be better than Modern Warfare 2, which was a blockbuster released on November 4 last year.
According to Anders Gyllenberg, producer of BBC2 PC version, this game can be defined by its differences from MW2. Gyllenberg was confident of the strength the name itself, Battlefield. He said, “For us it wasn’t any discussions regarding if one studio does this then we have to do that. What we offer with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the same base experience as we have offered all the way back since Battlefield 1942,.
Gyllenberg sees the sandbox mix design and also land, sea and air vehicles as the key to the franchise.
He added, “Combined with the focus on squad play, we believe we have our recipe for our own success. The server structure, which I assume you are thinking of, is only one of the components in what we feel is needed to offer a good PC experience.”
A field of battle where there is no room for heroism or patriotism, but where only the strongest does not pull the bucket, where only those who have replaced God with trivial material land is respected.
Here are the premises of Battlefield: Bad Company, sequel to a saga that, in its small, has made the history of first-person shooter.
The plot itself does not offer some kind of innovation, although right from the opening bars, Bad Company decides to “disconnect” from their duty and follow a path that will lead them to battle against friends and foes.
On the technical side, we are facing what is perhaps one of the greatest bulwarks of next-generation. Maybe some textures can be a bit flat, but it flies over easily when we have before us a field so vast and so realistic physics.
The overall impact is great, the models of realistic characters and the feeling of being in a world alive and pulsating high. The overall impact is great, the models of realistic characters and the feeling of being in a world alive and pulsating high and even the shadow of aliasing, as annoying drop the frame-rate.
