EA confirms the first BFBC game update is almost ready…
As I type this EA is preparing the first update for Battlefield Bad Company. They said they have been listening to all your your suggestions and complaints. Here is the direct quote from the official EA site:
We are happy to see that so many of you are playing Battlefield: Bad Company and having so much fun. The level of community interest in this game and its features is really visible, also through the amount of feedback various members of the development team have been receiving through their Live accounts, Facebook, emails, phone calls, faxes (People still use those??) on our forums and all the other channels out there.
Our Bad Company developers have been working a lot in the last two years and, we have managed to produce a game that we are very proud of. Even with the game already in stores, we would like to let you know that we are reading and listening to all of your feedback.
Right now the team is working on creating the Conquest game mode for Battlefield: Bad Company together with the conversion of the maps to go with it. The Conquest Pack is currently going through testing and certification.
We are very aware of the different issues you have told us you find most important. Therefore as soon as we’re done with the above there are several other points of your feedback which we’ll continue to investigate, without currently being able to say with certainty whether or not we will be able to include them. These include, but are not limited to:
* Clan support/private rooms/team chat
* Auto balancing on servers
* Continued support against stats exploits
* VOIP issue on PS3 (working with Sony on this)
* Squads might be split up when joining a server as a squad. This is due to team balancing in the games that are being joined, and usually resolves itself in round 2./The Battlefield: Bad Company team

Are you in the process of fixing the frezze up issues with the PS3? I have bought and tried 3 different games. Now keep in mind that Metal Gear Solid 4 played on my system with no issues at all, and I even tried to format my system, and still no luck. I have loved what game play I have gotten to play but it sucks completing a mission and then the all damn thing frezzes up and I have to start all over again, in hopes it won’t frezze up again. But it does.
How long do we have to wait for this issue to be fixed?
Great game but i want to play with more than 3 friends in my squad (suprisingly i have more than 3 friends), this is the only let down so far, apart from server issues, i would rather online play was lobby based (eg:R6V), set up a lobby, invite friends etc etc..
when will you sort out the connection issues for the 360? ie been trying to connect all day with no result. all my other games work fine
would love for them to sort the servers out so we can actually play, its the same old story with EA tho. shame dice didnt get someone better to host the servers.
Same with me I can not connect for the whole day today and I played yesterday. I mean why did I buy the Gold Edition!! + I bought the game mostly to pay online not singleplayer!
I like to see a lobby for online play fix the connection problems as well as the mics shutting down on us being it’s just released I understand you have problems but help us Oh and before I forget Will they support the newly added trophy features for PS3
There needs to be a button were you can talk to your entire team. You need to be able to talk to everyone not only your squad!!!
this is stupid you know how can a game like battlefield not have clan support my call of duty 4 is gathering dust since bfbc come out but im looking to go back and play that so many websites have clan matches and leaderboards dont you think the first thing you should update is the clan support this is a must have

first thing i wanna say is that i am a big battlefield fan, i played almost all titlels of bf and i respect the work of the hole team of EA and DICE and i know how much time and work it takes to create a game like bfbc…its enorme, but it cant be that a next gen shooter like this, on 2 of the best consoles that almost have better graphics as a computer aint got clansupport, without clanmatchsrvrs…it cant be that i join a public srvr with my lil 4 men squad and after 5 min we cant communicate anymore…it cant be that i play and after 2 min playing the screen freezes n some sec later i wake up n i got killed…it cant be that i sneak on 2 a enemy sniper n when i finally stand behind him and take my knife the hole squad spawns on him and kills me, this isnt realistic…it cant be that i play for 2 weeks after the launch and i think to myself, this game is boring already, because of that 1 playable gold rush mode. in my eyes a good shooter must have min ctf and conquest, theres where the motivation is, after that bring them super ideas of gold or oil or bananacrates. i know alot of ppl that think exactly like me, cause its just a normal reaction on a halffinished game and the hopes of millions of gamers are gone. the creators of bfbc will think now if u dont like it, dont play it…yes thats true, but thats not fair to ppl that spend theyr money on it. peace and greetz, 47
i havent been able to connect to EA servers for 7 days now this is bullshit. for a company the size of EA you would think they would have stable servers that work properly but it seems they dont, i cant believe i paid money for this POS

I am a huge battlefield fan and specifically bought my ps3 ONLY FOR BFBC!!! I am extremely disappointed in this game. The gameplay is great. The menu SUCKS ASS!!! The mic support sucks ass!! No clan matches suck ass!!! How could you guys perfect the important shit (gameplay, graphics, sound etc.) but screw up the basic shit - menu, mics, clan support. I am patiently waiting. If it isn’t fixed by the time socom comes out I will have to trade it in for what i THOUGHT was an inferior game.
This game will be so much better with conquest mode. Does anyone know when the patch is due to be released?
i have a ps3 and i cannot 2 ur servers because every time i try it tells me i have lost conection. I have had the game for 2 weeks now and i have not played a single online game due 2 this!
Battlefield Bad Company…
this game could have been the greatest game for a long time to come. I really like it. Even with the ton of bugs that were obvious bugs and were never fixed (blow a hole in the ground and whatever is on top floats???)…And seriously EA.. the thing with the “DLC” before…just trying to screw us. Was also wondering why everybody stopped talking 10 minutes into every game. Better fix this or I’m goin back to Cod
I’m loving BFBC right now! Fix those bugs and bring out the Clan Support! And o ya, Conquest! A map pack or something in the future would be awesome. Please bring back CTF! I was a beast at CTF on BFMC for PS2.
I play BFBC daily and currently reached skill level 2 and i am aiming for spot 1 in the world. The only question i have is: Why isn’t there some form of clan support? I researched finding a team but there really isn’t anything going for you guys yet. Don’t let this amazing game die out.
I am curious why everyone is complaining, gold rush alone is incredible, why can’t you be patient and hone your skills while awaiting conquest? Thanks for your time!

May i say you need to punish team killers not -10 points but -50 that would stop idiots killing you for no reason espesially when your on the artillary cannon.
Secondly you need to stop the stat exploits people who CHEAT are a joke and it pisses me off they really let the team down when your in a match.
Also i have every gun in the game apart drom the Chinese sniper rifle are you bringing out an update to sort this i didnt pre-order the game and thats not fair.
And why the F**K are people imortal when they crouch in a bush i must of tried to knife this dude about 16 times before he died and i took his dog tag.

theres so many buttons not even being used anyways. You could press down on the directional pad then move R analog to your choice then let go of down(directional pad). NONE OF THIS USELESS RADIO SPEACH. Automatic talking for throwing grenades and sutff is still a nice addon tho.
this game is a 10/10 game because its very realistic and ive had no promblems yet exept they needed to put loads more weapons and also a thought just entered my head imagen if the put inside the update things so u can create or add stuff to youre clothes like e.g with a ghillie suit a leaves and stuff with other clothes put youre rank on them and maybe youre clan name if they put clans in wich i hope they do
All the whiners(probably 360 users) weapon balancing severly needed….. great game though. ^_´
just so u know ea BFBC does have a realy good singleplayer mode but if online gaming is a significant part of the whole experiance for your customers u dont want to be lagging behind the other competitors. You need to get your act together!!!!!!!!!!! why arent people like me able to play online and others can?! I took the game to my friends house and it worked FINE!!! dont just add new game modes. thats all i heard the update is going to do.u better fix the bugs. anyone who wants to play online should be able to.

I think their may be a problem with the red dot over head thing. anytime I use the sniper kit I am always getting killed by a person who uses a smg or somthing from across the map? I actualy thought that the game had some kind of commander with UAV. The game would definitly be better with out the red dot over head thing.

the game is awsome, it could have better things in it tho. like clan support full team chat, more game modes like COD4 had. (at least CTF) better helicopter controls. and for some reason on the ps3 it will only let invite 1 other pearson to the squad.

as usual cant connect to my online stats and it sucks it just takes BFBC experiance to an all time low because without your rank and stats and all the hard work working towards the achievable unlocks the game just calapses losing any substance leaving the player thinking he just wasted is time when he could have played a game that keeps the online experiance alive but as for BFBC it just makes you feel you would have been better off throwing it in the F ing bin

I have a 10mb ‘net connection, my 360 is a ‘jasper’ 60gb. It works fine in single player, all my games on LIVE work flawless…why oh why does a gold rush game crash after 1ROUND?? The white/black roundel appears….and doesn’t move. No guide button - NOTHING. Your game is great, why is the online element failing - 2 californians I know have no problems AT ALL. I live in the UK.
