BBC2 VIP Map Pack Released
VIP Map Pack #5 of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is now available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
This map pack is available with the VIP code. The code is included in all the copies of BBC2. For those players who do not have a code can purshase it through the retailers.
Onslaught Mode is surely challenging one says Bach
The Onslaught Mode of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be offering a new dimension to the game play. In it the gamers will be taking on a bevy of enemies against a re-worked backdrop.
There are four maps in the Onslaught Mode and those are Isla Inocentes, Atacama Desert, Valparaiso and Nelson Bay.
This mode will allow four players to play together and the cooperation of all the teammates will decide the fate of the mission. The mode will allow the gamers make fight with enemies in land, sea and air.
Patrick Bach, senior producer of BBC2, said that effective squad play is the keyword which drives things in a particular mode. The mode is surely a challenging one and it requires calculation and skill to judge and undertake right strategy so that gamers win the game. He added that this mode shall elevate and heighten the game play experience.
It is said that the Onslaught Mode is one of the best offerings from the developer. Till now there was no free content for PC and also for PlayStation 2 in Battlefield game.
It is also said that this mode is a revamped ones and so it does not encourage any payment.
Bad Company 2 DLC free on Xbox Live and PSN
The ‘Map Pack 2′ will be free on Xbox Live or PSN. Yes, the second DLC pack of Battlefield Bad Company 2 will be released free on these platforms and on PCs, the players will be receiving this as a game update.
All the VIP members will be able to expand the game by having new DLC content and things will be fresh for them.
VIP members are those players who had bought BBC2 new. If anyone has not bought it new can become a VIP member by purchasing a VIP code for $15 on Xbox or PS3. As mentioned above, the PC gamers does not need it.
DICE and EA says that this new DLC will play an important part in making sure gamers get value for the money they have invested in BBC2. This is the main reasong, says EA, that the DLC is available for free.
They further mentions that it also helps in avoiding the splitting up the community. It will make sure that everyone can play together.
There may also come the future paid downloadable content and that will focus on expanding other parts of BBC2 experience.
Bad Company’s Onslaught Mode may not come on PC
Onslaught mode is not confirmed for PC platform for Bad Company 2. DICE neglected it for the four-player co-operative.
DICE said that the onslaught mode would negatively impact the community population becuase the game has a dedicated servers for all the platforms.
Well, there are some ways out of it. DICE has found some way, but it is still not clear whether this is through P2P networking or else of some alternate system that involve the dedicated servers.
It is also not clear whether the content will be free for the PC platform or not. We have to wait and watch.
Four multiplayer maps have been reworked for the new mode — Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes, and Nelson Bay. Each of these mode will focus on different gameplay elements such as vahicular or infantry combat.
VIP Map Pack 4 of BBC2 now available on consoles
The VIP Map Pack 4 of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is now available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as free download for all those fans of the game who bought it new. Those gamers who have bought second had of the game need to pay $15 for a VIP code before getting the free content.
The pack is also coming to the PC players regardless of ownership status.
This downloadable map pack content carries on the tradition of taking the map that is existing and converting them to be playable in other modes of games. The Atacama Desert, this time, will finally be available in the Rush Mode. The Port Valdez will hit to the Conquest Mode.
DICE will release BBC2 Vietnam this winter and there will be four more new jungle-themed maps to the game showing the weapons and vehicle used in the Vietnam War. This will add another layer of depth to the game.
DICE, parallel to it, is working on the multiplayer mode of Medal of Honor, the latest modern warfare shooter of Electronic Arts.
New patch to fix up issues in Bad Company 2
BBC2 has been lately suffering from some problems i.e. the knifing is not working properly and the hit detection is also not always perfect. Well, the experience of the game is not bad but it really needs a patch to fix up the issues.
Finally the patch has been passed and it is expected to roll out soon. It is the Steam version patch that requires some special code.
Associate Producer Barrie Bazajaytee Tingle said, it’s “looking good”.
The continuous failing testing of the patch was due to the SPECACT kits. It is a camo gear packs for several units. So, from the patch these will be cut.
