A question for the community: What don’t you like about BFBC so far?
Someone started a thread in the forums titled “What don’t you like about the game so far?“. It’s a different question and unlike most of the other questions asked, it’s not nessasarly a positive question. We’ve all seen the “What’s your favorite part of BFBC” type questions, this one goes in the other direction. Ill list some of the responses below.
The thing I don’t like so far is that when you get close to someone you can’t tell if their friend or foe. It especially is bad when you round the corner and see someone staring right at you. Do you shoot and get a teamkill or flinch and get shot instead. I wish the clothing was more distinct between teams.
The M95 can’t fire through walls, it can blow fences and trees apart & When people are on those missile launchers that look like telescopes and I snipe them, they don’t die.
No prone is retarded, I cant lay down? Thats what you do in a bad company.
The weapon attributes are off, and wonky looking. The assault + SF classes weapons are too weak. Half a clip to kill someone, when has that ever been right? The one shot shotgun. Little to no down time for a reload. WTF is this little thing I spawn with a spawn of the M4? A little nit to pick, why do games always have the M60 as the end all heavy weapon. I know RAMBO, but there is another, my baby, that I feel gets left out alot, the M240B, look it up. I played BF MC a lot, and the basic gunplay feels more like Frontline 2 with its wonkyness. That being said, I am a battlefield fan first before COD4, I prefer the open battlefields to the arena of COD. But wonkyness, iron it out.
Auto injectors, I guess they probably got that from the adrenaline shot you are supposed to give yourself if you are exposed to nerve gas. Or maybe the med heart shot. That is definitely not a more than one time thing, and the one time you use it there is a chance you’ll have a heart attack. The fact that there is a auto injector tells me that they shammed out (thats a real bad company term) on the balance of the game. A one button cure all.
too much health, the assault rifles should be a little bit better, more game modes, all the house goes down not most of it, team killers, people who walks past the gold when theres a bomb on it trust me it happends alot, more ranked levels most people all ready a level 25, the shotgun wayyy over powered, mines dissaper after a while, more levels, some level are too big and when you die and your squad is dead you hav to start right back at the beginnig but there are people who like big maps and last thing is NO DEATHMATCH
My gripes are…
Some guns realy need tweeking………Some can fire though chain link fences and others can’t.
1) Pistol is too powerfull. I mean they can take 5-6 machine gun/assault shots and turn around and still kill you.
2) Knife is he same way but can kill you from 6 feet away.
3) Shotgun 1 hit kills are fine but if someone aims at my feet it should take two. When you sneak up on someone and shoot them all them do is turn
around and shoot, no aim required.
4) One class (forgot which one) has the first 2 or 3 weapon the same, stat wise. I mean come on at least adjust them a little.
5) To many shot to a door to bring them down
6) Still getting stuck in objects. plants/ small fences
7) Bradley vehicle fires alot but no real damage, also is this thing made out of a pop can. I thought it was an armor vehicle.
8 Respawns AT the gold should NOT be allowed when on offense. I had 3 enemies respawn (my opinion ) right in front of me.
9) A respawn you should have a “God” mode (can’t die or shoot anyone) for 2-3 seccond to just give you a chance. Tired of respawning only to get shot 1 second latter.
10) Need more playing styles,
11) Should be able to create you own match, and be able to play without certain weapons or vehicles.
12) Calling in an air stike sometimes they land on you because the dot was next to a leaf of a tree you were near. Should also be able to lock on a “taged” object
13) Bunny hoppers are still a problem.

Guide to Battlefield Bad Company
I found a post on the EA forums which was extremely well written. If any new players are out there, I highly recommend reading it.
Hello “N.O.O.B.” and welcome to the Battlefield: Bad Company forums where you will find all manner of positive/helpful and negative/unuseful information. I’m glad to see that you are atleast trying the game out however, please give the game’s bugs a month or so to be worked out. There are a couple hicups in the Forstbite engine but have no fear, these will be worked out in due time.
Warning: This game bares no gameplay resemblance to Call of Duty 4 and has been named as a radical step off of the Battlefield Genre. Weapon Damage, Gameplay Mechanics and overall multiplayer mechanics are all implemented by DICE and are not in need of a patch. You are warned that at times, the gameplay involving weapon damage on Multiplayer may seem very unrealistic. Please note that, half of the time, it’s an accuracy issue. If later you think that a realistic mode should be implemented, please sign the Realistic Mode petition and bump my thread on fixing the “Hard” Challenge difficulty.
Single- player:
Without ruining the story, I can tell you that the single-player is more of an optional addition to the game however, if you choose to play it through, you’ll have the chance to see most of the weapons that are featured in Multiplayer and the added time will give you an edge over understanding how the weapon works and what weapon will benefit you in Multiplayer. Level design to the game is fairly open ended and in order to find all of these “collectables” (as well as the gold-crates) you will need to explore each map entirely. The storyline to the single- player is most decent but gameplay is a bit dulled do to the “Uber-Needle” which recharges and instantly recharges your life. Also, should you die, you respawn near a checkpoint that allows you to keep dealing damage. The damage you’ve already inflicted remains. You can expect plenty of witty banter and a nice distraction from your multiplayer experience. All in all, expect to have a bit of fun and expect to learn about all of the gadgets that will be available to you in Multiplayer, once you unlock them of course!
Multi-player:
The standard, and only, game mode that your copy of Battlefield: Bad Company has shipped with is Gold Rush. Standard Conquest mode will be a free download on both Xbox 360 and PS3 after Testing and Certification has been finished both by DICE, as well as Microsoft and Sony. Gold Rush is an attackers and defenders based game with the objective being your teams Gold Crates. The winning team recieves Fifty-bonus points at the end of the round then each team switches to the opposite side. Gold Rush and Conquest are Kit based so it is important to be forthright and work well, even if not talking, with your squad. Your squad will be composed of you and generally three other teammates with three squads on each team. Learn to adapt to your favorite Kits specifications and keep both the kit and yourself in a comfort zone.
Ranking works on a point system with points given to you for destroying objectives, winning the round, receiving a trophy, earning a kill or something as simple as helping a squad or teammate tank down a tank or enemy. There are twenty five ranks in all ranging from no rank (the “rank” you start as) all of the way to General of the Army. However, your test don’t nessecarily end at General of the Army as then you receive a skill number…There are twenty unlocks total within the game (twenty-five if you count the find-all-five weapons). Fifteen of these can be unlocked if you recieve a “Credit” after ranking up, generally every other rank will earn you an unlock, and the last five are awarded to you for becoming General of the Army. Multiplayer can be fun if you enjoy the game in general but if you’re becoming frusterated with the game and some less than intelligent people over XBL or PSN, take a break from Ranked and play an Unranked match to kick back and do what you want, without the issue of points.
DICE took a step away from an integrated Clan System, however, they are currently deciding on whether or not they would like to put one into the game. Perhaps they’re working on it right now…The Battlefield can be a fun place but keep in mind that it’s only a game. Remember to be respectful to other players both in-game and on the forum. The world is full of opinions and it’s important to respect each fun, no matter how much you may disagree. You’ll learn the ropes of Tactical Destruction and strategy on your own. Just remember to have fun! Keep the action intense, stay light-hearted and remember to blow a few holes in the bridge for me.
See you on the Battlefield.

Interesting BFBC Forum Topics
Problems taking screen shots in BFBC?
There is an interesting discussion going on in the forums, some people seem to be having a hard time locating their Battlefield Bad Company screen shots.
Here’s a super busy thread for “BFBC tips”. Just general tips and tricks for everyday BFBC players.
While the BFBC reviews have been pretty amazing, and everyone is quick to tell you what they love about BFBC, in this thread the players voice their opinions on what they don’t like about BFBC.
Some of you may or may not know how people are getting stupid amounts of points, you know they’re cheating but you just didn’t know how they were doing it…well you do now. Keep in mind we DO NOT recommend doing this and if you get your account banned, don’t come crying to us.
The “Death or Glory” clan is recruiting Battlefield Bad Company players for the 360 and they seem to be creating a little stir on the forums, definitely one of the busier BFBC clan topics on our site.
